The Tauss Winery is located in a quiet, secluded location surrounded by greenery, and by vineyards. The winery, with its divided basin vineyards primarily facing south and southwest, is located at an altitude of 390–480 m above sea level. This site belongs to the Hohenegg vineyard in Schlossberg, a district of Leutschach on the Wine Route in Southern Styria. Wonderful hiking trails start directly from the winery.
In addition to the ten winemaker's rooms with comfortable and eco-friendly furnishings, there is also a spacious winemaker's house located directly in the vineyard with two separate living units.
The HOUSE OF SILENCE is ideal for yoga and meditation. The Tauss Winery also features a heated outdoor pool and ample green space, as well as a sauna house with a Finnish sauna or sanarium (with steam) and a cozy relaxation room. Massages can also be booked by appointment.
Deep Relaxation Yoga & Bodywork Retreat
What to expect?
This 3-night/4-day retreat focuses on yoga and bodywork practices to help you recover, realign, and relax. These practices target the physical body, as well as the emotional body and the mind.
The morning begins with a Hatha Yoga practice (a traditional form of Tantric Yoga) in which postures are performed slowly and held for a few breaths. This is followed by an optional 15-minute for breathing exercises and meditation.
There is a daily Yin Yoga class before dinner. Two Thai Yoga bodywork workshops and a Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) round out the program. There is plenty of free time between classes to enjoy the pool, sauna, or beautiful scenery.
The program has been designed in a way to allow participants to learn and apply practical skills that will be beneficial beyond the retreat.

Language
The language of instruction is German. For participants with insufficient German skills, additional support can be provided in English.
Retreat Inhalt
Pranayama and Meditation
After the asana practice, participants can take part in a 15-minute pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation session.
Traditional Tantra Yoga
This is a Hatha yoga style, meaning the postures are practiced slowly and with enough time to hold them one after the other. By practicing tantra yoga, we aim to achieve a state of meditation during and between the asanas (poses). The practice is slow and gentle; the postures are held for longer periods, but with tensed muscles, everone according to her/his own ability. There is time for relaxation between the asanas. It looks simple and not at all challenging, but because you practice from a relaxed state, it is nevertheless a very powerful practice.
In this particular tantra yoga style (Kaula system), students are encouraged to keep their eyes closed during practice. This allows them to keep the experience unobtrusive and not distracted by the outside world.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga targets different layers of the body and mind, primarily fascial connective tissue and joint flexibility. Participants will learn all about the goal and benefits of this slow and grounding yoga practice. We will learn how to practice safely and stay in poses longer. We will explore how to stretch the body in a yin way, gently stress, and learn how to cope with minor discomfort. We will learn which acupressure points support relaxation and sometimes apply them during the yin yoga practice.
Thai-Yoga Bodywork
Through bodywork, the body can be influenced in such a way that blockages, tensions, and energy blockages dissolve on multiple levels, such as the fascia, muscles, and nervous system. The results are a significant increase in energy, inner and outer balance, improved stress tolerance and resilience, and a release of physical tension. In this workshop, participants work in pairs and learn simple movements and techniques of this relaxing and effective bodywork.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation form, also known as yogic sleep. Practitioners are guided through a journey of attention focused on breath, sounds, and the body.






Accommodation and meals
Accommodation
All rooms are double rooms with wooden floors and oiled solid wood furniture, furnished with many thoughtful details to ensure a comfortable stay.
Room Category 1: The rooms are between 22-24m² in size, located on the first floor or attic. They include a sofa and a shower/WC.
Room Category 2: Spacious double rooms measuring 30m², accessible from the garden and with a south-facing balcony, a pull-out sofa, and a shower/WC.
Hairdryer, bathrobe, and beach bag, an open fireplace, books and a reading lamp, a refrigerator, an umbrella, and a hiking backpack. A tea maker and a small selection of teas, apples, and an information folder with hiking maps and many useful tips for the region are provided.
Meals
Bread and pastries are baked by the Tauss family. Jams, spreads, juices, cakes, yogurt, compotes, smoothies, and warm cereals are also homemade.
Cheese comes from local organic farmers. There is also a large selection of teas, coffee specialties, cereals and muesli, dried fruit, and seasonal fresh fruit.
The vegetarian/vegan dinner consists of a set menu with soup, main course, and dessert, water, and juice.

Retreat organizer
Nikoleta leads the retreat program.
She was introduced to Yin Yoga and Tantra Yoga several years ago, and since then, her teaching style has evolved in a new way. She primarily teaches these soft and gentle yoga styles, combined with breathwork and meditation. These yoga styles are gentle by nature, and may even seem unspectacular from the outside. However, practitioners experience them as very powerful and at times challenging. They allow us to turn our awareness inward and learn how to relax and ground ourselves.
Nikoleta has 800 hours of training in Yin Yoga and is certified in Tantra Yoga and meditation. She complements her passion for relaxation techniques with training in Thai yoga bodywork, anatomy, the nervous system, and is an Ayurvedic nutrition coach.

Booking and cancellation conditions
Booking
Retreat Program:
The early bird discount of 280 euros is available to participants who transfer the fee for the retreat program by February 28, 2025.
From March 1, 2025, the regular price of 320 euros applies.
Unterkunft:
Must be paid directly to Weingut Tauss. Their booking and cancellation conditions apply.
Cancellation and Refund
Cancellation by the Organizer:
If the retreat has to be cancelled by the organizer (at least 6 participants by July 22, 2025), a full refund of the payment made will be made within two weeks of notification of the cancellation.
Cancellation by participants:

This amount is fully refundable only up to 6 months before the start of the retreat - April 22, 2025.
Between April 23 and June 22, 2025, the refundable partis 50%.
After June 23, 2025, the amount is no longer refundable.

Weingut Tauss’s cancellation policy applies.
Refund:
No refund or price reduction will be given for late arrival or early departure.
The credit can be transferred to another participant. In this case, another person must be named.
