Yoga &
Meditation

I practice and teach slow, gentle yet powerful styles like yin yoga and tantra yoga (= slow hatha yoga).

To fully integrate a body-mind perspective through an asana (physical postures) practice I also teach yin-yang classes - a combination of more active flows (that are still slow) that smooth out in yin yoga and meditation.

Pranayama is part of every class and whenever possible also meditation. My favourite meditation styles I teach more often are yoga nidra and mindfulness meditation.

Yin and Yang

It allows taking different times of the day, the year, the physical and mental constitution and the specific needs into account. On a physical level, with yang classes stability and the muscular system are in the focus. With yin classes deeper tissues, i.e. ligaments, tendons and especially joints are primarily targeted.

With tantra yoga, well, a bit of both I would say, but primarily the pranic system (energy system) is stimulated.

I like to offer both aspects, the yin and the yang (see description of different yoga styles below) and to challenge participants with yin yoga postures that seem easy but bring you to your edge and subsequently to unexplored levels of relaxation. Yin Yoga and yin-yang classes are taught in private sessions and in studios in Vienna.

Women’s health

Taking into account all different phases of a woman’s monthly cycle and her age, but also seasonal changes, will require an adjusted yoga practice. Asana practice and breathing exercises as well as targeted meditation can nourish you the best way possible. Specific circumstances, periods, lifestyles and the health situation should be considered appropriately and support you in your everyday life.

“Nikoleta’s yoga sessions are to me a perfec escape, which allows me to find true joy in deep stretching, relaxation and balance. She has a very calm way to guide through each posture. She explains every movement very well, while she also offers the time and space to dive deep into the asanas. I always leave her sessions with a gentle grounding feeling which lasts the whole day.”
